Moore's documentary is politically polarizing. Conservative columnists, such as Armon White, are sharply critical of the movie. First, comment on the validity of White's negative review. Then, putting aside politics, what can the movie show us about the value of travel in understanding our own country.
I think that White's negative review of Moore's documentary is too excessive. I understand that Moore makes it into a comedy style documentary but it's important to understand that most of the things that he says is true. I think White needs to take a step back and acknowledge the things that have happened in this country. This is a great country but at some point it wasn't an equal country for everyone. I think White should go in a different direction in critizing Moore's documentary. I think that Moore's documentary can show us to become more accepting to foreigner and other people that might not be like Americans. In order to understand the world around us it's important to understand who we are as a country and this documentary can show us on what things need to be worked on.
